Purpose
The Manager / Senior Manager, Alliance Management is responsible for adding value to client relationships by coordinating and negotiating business with customers, developing, and running constructive governance frameworks, and overseeing the successful delivery by the Veramed operational teams working within assigned business units. The focus of this role is to increase long-term customer satisfaction and revenue as well as ensure the delivery performance of the company’s operational teams is maintained.
Key Responsibilities

Account Management:
- Build and maintain close working relationships with other Veramed Business Unit Heads, Account Managers and Leads, as appropriate.
- Client account management with responsibilities to include:
- Client account manager on client accounts and projects.
- Building and expanding strong client relationships.
- Ensuring effective governance at client and project levels.
- Managing client expectations and facilitating issue resolution.
- Monitoring the status, progress, and budget of projects.
- Proactively managing the process for budgets, budget amendments, payment milestones and invoice reviews maintaining a high-level financial perspective on your client accounts.
- Supporting the operational manager(s) to determine client account resource needs and recruitment requirements.
Oversight:
- Maintain current awareness of Veramed’s Standard Operating Procedures, policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure compliance at the departmental level and perform own duties in full compliance with these and applicable client procedures, legislations, and regulations, and meet all relevant training needs where required.
- Responsible for contributing to department-related SOP development and updates.
- Develop and maintain a framework of technical/strategic oversight across all areas of the role’s responsibility. Participate in learnings being shared between business units, client accounts, people and projects and proactively seek process improvements where required.
- Identify the training needs of the supporting account management team. Help to develop and provide internal training where appropriate.
- Helping to deliver on company key initiatives and targets.
Business:
- Business development:
- Grow the role’s existing client accounts, including up-sell and cross-sell. Contribute to and deliver on a strategy to meet annual growth targets.
- Supporting business development activities for current and potential new client accounts,
including budget and proposal development, technical pre-sales meetings and bid-defence
meetings. - Market intelligence:
- Maintains an understanding of our competitors and how the Veramed offering may need
to evolve to maintain a strong position in the market.
People Management (where applicable):
- Provide coaching and mentoring of staff to achieve “excellence”.
- Direct employee career development and ensure any junior colleagues receive appropriate training to perform their day-to-day jobs.
- Interview and effectively on-board and integrate new staff members.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant industry experience.
