In this role, you’ll spearhead the strategy and operations of our innovative department, driving growth through both established and emerging client partnerships. With a strong emphasis on commercial endeavors, you’ll collaborate closely with our business development and account management teams to pinpoint target clientele, facilitate technical sales discussions, and craft compelling proposals.
Purpose
The Head of Evidence Value and RWE Group will lead the EVG / RWE business unit for Veramed. They will define and execute the strategy for the department, focused on growing the business unit through marketing the opportunities of using Veramed as a preferred RWE partner. They will define which areas are best to grow in and work with sales and marketing to align a strategy to achieve said growth. They will also need to have the technical knowledge to speak credibly to the EVG / RWE opportunity.

Business Strategy:
- Create a strategy and an execution plan for the department aligned with current market trends.
- Align the strategy to Veramed’s board-level objectives.
The strategy should also include:
- Market segmentation
- Market mapping
- Opportunity win plans
Commercial:
Lead technical sales meetings and bid defence meetings, aligning other key Veramed stakeholders to maximise success and actively driving forward the commercial strategy of the business unit:
- Linking in with BD and Account Managers to win new opportunities and cross-selling.
- Generating proposals.
- Building on the awareness of the business unit, partnering with marketing to drive opportunities.
- Attending conferences, webinars, and events – being the face of the department.
Oversight:
- Maintain current awareness of Veramed’s Standard Operating Procedures, policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure departmental compliance at the departmental level, perform own duties in full compliance with these and applicable client procedures, legislations, and regulations, and meet all relevant training needs where required.
- Responsible for contributing to department-related SOP development and updates.
- Develop and maintain technical/strategic oversight frameworks across all areas of the role’s responsibility. Participate in learnings being shared between business units, client accounts, people and projects and proactively seek process improvements where required.
- Identify the training needs of the wider EVG team. Help to develop and provide internal training where appropriate.
- Helping to deliver on company key initiatives and targets.
Account/Client:
- Act as the key account manager for all Veramed’s EVG/RWE clients.
- Responsible for the P&L of the business unit and responsible for collaborating with other business units and operational excellence to manage the pipeline of resources and billability.
People Management:
- Line management of the EVG business unit
- Provide coaching and mentoring of staff to achieve “excellence”.
- Direct employee career development and ensure junior colleagues receive appropriate training to perform their daily jobs.
- Interview and effectively on-board and integrate new staff members.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- At least 15 years of relevant industry experience.
Other Information/Additional Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commercially minded and experienced in growing business units.
- Previous experience working in a technical role and able to provide technical guidance and coaching to EVG/RWE team members.
- An understanding of how clients measure/see success and a track record in pitching EVG/RWE services to clients.
- Able to converse with clients on the latest market trends and industry trends in the EVP/RWE environment.
- Able to take responsibility and think strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Self-management skills with a focus on results for timely and accurate completion of competing deliverables.
- Ability to manage portfolios and people.
