Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper

We have a unique and modern approach to the industry and have grown from 2 to 190 staff in the last 9 years.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant /  Bookkeeper who has at least 3 years work experience to join us and support our Finance Manager on a day to day basis. You will be the first point of contact for staff expenses and processing invoices in the business, so you will need to have good communication skills. The ideal  Finance Assistant /  Bookkeeper will be good at following procedures, be diligent, accurate and have great attention to detail.

The list below summarises the day to day job tasks of the Finance Assistant /  Bookkeeper:

  • Validating and Processing of Purchase invoices
  • Generation and Submission of Sales invoices
  • Processing Staff Expenses
  • Monthly reconciliation of Banks accounts and Company Credit Cards
  • Preparation of fortnightly Payment Run
  • Monthly timesheets reconciliation
  • Tracking and updating the Prepayment schedule
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany accounts
  • Assisting with Month End and Year End Accounts
  • Assisting with Cashflow and Budget Management
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns

Qualifications/ Experience needed:

  • AAT qualified, Part-qualified accountant, or graduate with relevant degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in a transactions finance environment
  • Experience using Xero accounting software or similar software
  • Strong Excel skills
