On May 23rd, we’ll be in Philadelphia to exhibit at Outsourcing Clinical Trials (OCT) East Coast! Drop by Booth 39 to play our raffle game ($150 prize is up for grabs!) and discover why our people-focused approach to clinical analytics has seen us work and retain some of the biggest names in the industry.
With 300+ Statisticians and Programmers and a 95%+ employee retention rate, we understand the importance of high-quality, right-first-time deliverables. Don’t just take our word for it though; Bre Grignano, a leading figure in our US team, will be at our booth to prove it. We sat down with Bre to discuss her thoughts on the industry and what she’s looking forward to seeing at OCT East Coast this year.

What are you excited to see at OCT East Coast this year?
I’m really excited to re-connect face- to- face with my industry network and catch up on the trends everyone is seeing in outsourcing. There are also some great presentations focusing on expectations for service providers and some interesting panels and roundtables on D&I in clinical trials.
What’s on at the Veramed stand and how can people find you?
You can find me quite easily by keeping an eye out for our bright pink stand over at Booth 39. We’ve also got a big raffle draw at our booth that is super easy to enter – all you have to do is drop your name into the bowl. The winner will receive a $150 voucher to Gifts for Good, which is a fellow B Corp Certified company!
What are some key tips sponsors should understand when considering a new vendor to outsource their clinical analytics?
Focus on the specialists that can promise high quality, on-time deliverables. Specialty service providers like Veramed also have a quick ramp-up and turnaround time, which means little to no disruptions on current projects and submissions. Specialists like Veramed can also seamlessly fit into whatever full service vendor relationships are already in place. In fact, we’re sometimes tasked with providing quality assurance and biometrics oversight for CRO’s providing those capabilities that might not have the manpower to QC their work/datasets.
What other OCT or similar conferences are you attending this year?
I was most recently at PHUSE US in Orlando, but I’ll be at DIA, Boston, and OCT New England later this year.
As a Philly local, any advice for those visiting for the first time?
So much advice! First, Penn’s Landing on the east side of Philly (right on the Delaware River) is the perfect spot on the water for appetizers and people watching. Second piece of advice is to stop over at the town center in King of Prussia for amazing farm to table restaurants and homemade ice cream! And lastly, just remember that the best cheesesteaks do not come from a place called Pats or Genos.
