Head of Operations, Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences

We’re looking for an ambitious new Head of Operations, Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences. This role will see you work together with the Executive Vice President of Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences to implement an ambitious strategy for this business unit.

Key Responsibilities

The job tasks listed below outline the scope of the position. The application of these tasks may vary, based on current business needs.

Technical

  • Act as a Statistical Leader for the business, providing guidance and oversight and act as a role model
  • Organise projects within the Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences business unit
  • Organise and implement study and/or compound level activities advising on evidence generation plans, study design and statistical issues across therapeutic areas  
  • Perform technical review and provide input into documents including protocols, SAPs, TFL shells, dataset specifications, posters, publications, HTA dossiers, and other technical documents
  • Perform work in full compliance with applicable internal and client policies, procedures, processes and training and ensures compliance of department
  • Implement processes improvement initiatives to create systems to effectively deliver on projects in the Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences business unit

 Business

  • Drive the operations of the business unit
  • Help to define the strategic direction of the business unit
  • Support the development of the business unit and monitor spend
  • Responsible for delivering on business unit key initiatives and targets
  • Support business development tasks for the Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences business unit including generating proposals, (technical) sales meetings and bid-defence meetings
  • Organize the organisation client account resource needs and recruitment requirements and growing client accounts to meet annual targets
  • Organize business unit related SOP development and updates

Project Management

  • Support the key client account management and governance e.g. solve issues
  • Work alongside the project management function to support the following:
  • Assignment and allocation of appropriate resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
  • Proactive management of resource, scope change and risks
  • Budget tracking and management

People Management

  • Line management of junior team members. Accountable for overall performance of direct reports
  • Provide coaching and mentoring of staff to achieve “excellence”.  Direct employee career development and ensure line reports receive appropriate training to perform their day-to-day jobs
  • Interview and effectively on-board and integrate new staff members
  • Provide technical and non-technical leadership and coaching for junior staff

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in statistics (or equivalent)
  • At least 7 years of relevant industry experience
