We’ve been accredited with a 3 star employer rating by Best Companies, showing ‘world class’ levels of employee engagement. The prestigious accolade was awarded after we received an exceptional grading in the Best Companies ‘B Heard’ employee survey covering staff well-being, pay and benefits, personal growth, leadership and more.
The accolade is awarded to only a fraction of companies and places Veramed as one of the few Pharmaceutical companies to reach a ‘world class’ rating. In what has been a tough year for many, it reflects our dedication to ensuring all of our employees have the best tools and environment to thrive. It’s an achievement to be proud of and one that we can use as a benchmark for our success going forward.
What is employee engagement?
While there is no universal definition for employee engagement, the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) defines employee engagement as a psychological state experienced by employees. According to Best Companies, an engaged workforce is more motivated and productive because people take pride in what they are doing and have faith in those around them.

Employee engagement is an incredibly important asset to any company, as it leads to better working relationships, greater collaboration and ultimately, a more successful organisation. Engagement can be measured in many forms, such as the ‘B Heard’ survey, which looks for patterns, connections and correlations between employee responses.
What led to our high score?
While we can’t share on behalf of all employees, the results speak for themselves. Achieving a 3 star rating shows that Veramed employees feel valued and motivated. They have a favourable view of the company and their role within it. A range of factors may have contributed to our high rating, such as:
What does this result mean for Veramed?
With yearly accreditation taking place, this achievement will set the benchmark for employee engagement and help shape the initiatives and programmes we have for employees going forward. We want to make sure that all our employees feel heard and accounted for, which is why we will continue to seek feedback and maintain an open dialogue between company leaders and staff.
A 3 star rating also translates to better outcomes for our clients. Our growing reputation for delivering high quality, on-time work is down to how we treat our staff and approach their development. As a clinical data specialist with people at its heart, we understand the close correlation between employee engagement and the strong, long-term relationships we have with our clients, and we will continue our focus on employee engagement to build upon that success.
